On November 17, 2024, Scholten informed her followers about upcoming infrastructure work by Consumers Energy. She stated: “Heads up: Consumers Energy will be making upgrades this Monday, which could cause outages for some West Michiganders from Monday evening into Tuesday.”

The following day, on November 18, 2024, she extended greetings to her fellow lawmakers in the newly convened Congress. Scholten expressed her enthusiasm for the diversity within the legislative body: “Sending a warm West Michigan welcome to every single one of my new colleagues for the 119th Congress.”
