Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, who represents Michigan’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on March 10, 2026, highlighting topics ranging from sports achievements to national security and local economic investments.

In her first post of the day, Scholten congratulated the University of Michigan basketball team: “Congratulations to the @umichbball Wolverines on a historic season. Becoming the first Big Ten team in 50 years to go undefeated on the road in conference play is an incredible accomplishment. Proud to see Michigan making history and representing our state so well. Go Blue! “ (March 10, 2026).

Later that afternoon, Scholten addressed foreign policy concerns regarding potential conflict with Iran: “War is not a slogan. It is a life-and-death decision. In this week’s Straight Talk With Scholten, I explain why Congress must have a voice before the United States enters a prolonged conflict with Iran. Full episode on YouTube.” (March 10, 2026).

Scholten also commented on recent economic developments involving manufacturing investment in West Michigan: “GE Aerospace is investing $60 million in West Michigan as part of a $1 billion investment in U.S. manufacturing. Investments like this strengthen American manufacturing, support good-paying jobs, and keep our region competitive.” (March 10, 2026).

Hillary Scholten has represented Michigan’s 3rd District since replacing Peter Meijer in 2023 and resides in Grand Rapids where she was born in 1982. She holds degrees from Gordon College and the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
