Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, who represents Michigan’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted her office’s ongoing constituent services and community engagement efforts through a series of posts on social media.

On March 28, 2026, Scholten addressed constituents experiencing difficulties with federal agencies, writing: “Is a federal agency giving you the runaround? Do you need help getting your Social Security, your tax return, or another federal benefit? My team and I are here to help. Please give us a call at (616) 451-8383 and we can help you like we helped Mulunga!”

Later that day, she reported on discussions with healthcare leaders in her district: “I had the opportunity to sit down with Trinity Health to discuss how programs like 340B play a key role in lowering costs and expanding access to care.” The 340B Drug Pricing Program allows eligible healthcare organizations to purchase outpatient drugs at reduced prices to support affordable patient care.

In a subsequent post on March 28, Scholten recognized community involvement in West Michigan: “West Michiganders never fail to show up for their community. From blood donors to neighbors lending a hand, it’s what keeps our communities strong.”

Scholten has served as the representative for Michigan’s 3rd District since replacing Peter Meijer in 2023. Born in Grand Rapids in 1982, she continues to reside there. Scholten holds a BA from Gordon College (2004) and a JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore (2011).
