The following day, on November 19, she acknowledged the challenges that come with the holiday season and highlighted community support initiatives. She wrote about Feeding America’s efforts to provide food assistance: “The holiday season can be hard and thankfully @FeedingAmerica is here to help with free, fresh food pickups.” Scholten encouraged constituents to visit Feeding America’s website for mobile pantry locations.

Later that day, Scholten expressed her support for Congressman Hakeem Jeffries by nominating him as Democratic Leader for the upcoming Congress session.
