Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, who represents Michigan’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of messages on her social media account addressing local events and constituents.

On March 20, 2026, Scholten expressed support for college sports teams in the state, posting: “Good luck to all our Michigan teams competing in the tournament this weekend — we’re cheering you on across West Michigan. Go Blue and Go Green! “

The following day, she congratulated a longstanding community institution: “Congratulations to the John Ball Zoo on celebrating 135 years of operation!” (March 21, 2026).

Later that same day, Scholten highlighted her efforts to maintain communication with constituents through regular updates: “Sending out my weekly newsletter helps me stay transparent and accountable to YOU. Make sure you’re subscribed to stay in the loop about how I’m working for West Michigan in D.C.!” (March 21, 2026).

Scholten has represented Michigan’s 3rd District since replacing Peter Meijer in 2023. She was born and currently resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Scholten holds a BA from Gordon College and a JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
