On February 1, 2025, Congresswoman Scholten expressed satisfaction after meeting with state leaders from Muskegon and Ottawa Counties. She described the meeting as productive and emphasized their commitment to serving the community at various levels. “Glad to meet with state leaders from Muskegon and Ottawa Counties. We had a productive meeting this morning to share our priorities and discuss how we can continue to deliver for our community at every level.”

Later that day, she visited Love Cafe for lunch, praising its pay-what-you-can model that focuses on fresh ingredients and job skill training. She called it an “incredible addition” to the community. “Had such a great time at Love Cafe for lunch today! This new restaurant is pay-what-you-can, with fresh ingredients and job skill training at the heart of its mission — what an incredible addition to our community!”

In another tweet on February 1st, Scholten acknowledged Black History Month by honoring the contributions of Black Americans across all facets of American life and culture, particularly in West Michigan. “Our country is a better place because of the contributions of Black Americans. This Black History Month, we honor and recognize the extraordinary achievements of Black Americans in every part of American life and culture, including right here in West Michigan.”
