Hillary Scholten, currently serving as a U.S. Congresswoman for Michigan’s 3rd District, shared a series of tweets on December 2, 2024. Her posts covered various topics including human rights, personal celebrations, and advocacy work related to Alzheimer’s disease.

In her first tweet of the day, Scholten highlighted the significance of Universal Human Rights Month. She emphasized her commitment to eradicating child labor as co-chair of the Child Labor Prevention Taskforce. “December is Universal Human Rights Month, a time to reflect on the work we still have left to ensure EVERYONE has human rights.”

Later that day, Scholten took a moment to celebrate a personal milestone by wishing her husband Jesse a happy birthday in a light-hearted tweet: “Happy Birthday to my number one guy, Jesse! How can we be married for 20 years if you’re only turning 25 today?? So weird!”

In another post made in the evening, Scholten addressed her ongoing efforts with Alzheimer’s disease advocacy. She acknowledged the persistent efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association of Michigan and discussed her support for research and caregivers within her district and beyond: “Alzheimer’s disease is unrelenting, but thankfully, for those living with this disease and their families, so is @alzassociation of Michigan.”
