She noted the organization’s commitment to providing high-quality healthcare to residents of Muskegon County. “Last week, I met with leaders from Hackley Community Care. At Hackley, they’re doing incredible work to ensure West Michiganders in Muskegon County have access to high-quality health care. I’m working hard to ensure our local health centers have what they need to thrive.”
Later that day, Scholten emphasized the significance of Medicaid for over 150,000 residents in West Michigan. She stated the necessity of protecting these benefits from being misused by wealthy individuals. “Medicaid is a lifeline for over 150,000 West Michiganders — it must be protected. Hearing directly from you helps me better serve you and ensure unelected billionaires can’t treat your Medicaid benefits like a gambling chip.”

We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.”
