Born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Scholten holds a BA from Gordon College and a JD from the University of Maryland. Hillary Scholten succeeded Peter Meijer as U.S Congress member for Michigan’s 3rd district in 2023. At age 41, she continues to reside in Grand Rapids.
