Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, who represents Michigan’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates and community engagement messages on her social media account on March 23, 2026.

In one post from that day, Scholten offered congratulations to a local sports team: “Congratulations to Michigan Hockey on winning the Big Ten Tournament Championship. Go Blue!” (March 23, 2026).

Later the same day, she commented on local economic issues following a meeting with state and municipal leaders: “At a Grand Rapids roundtable with @govwhitmer and local leaders today, I kept hearing the same thing: housing costs are up, options are down, and families are feeling squeezed. We can fix that, but only if we keep working to build more housing and bring costs back within reach” (March 23, 2026).

Scholten also highlighted constituent services provided by her office: “Is a federal agency giving you the runaround? Do you need help getting your Social Security, your tax return, or another federal benefit? My team and I are here to help. Please give us a call at (616) 451-8383 and we can help you like we helped Beth!” (March 23, 2026).

Hillary Scholten has served as the representative for Michigan’s 3rd District since replacing Peter Meijer in 2023. She was born in Grand Rapids in 1982 and continues to reside there. Scholten holds degrees from Gordon College and the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
