Congresswoman Hillary Scholten, representing Michigan’s 3rd district since 2023, addressed various issues through her recent social media communications. As an active member of Congress, she frequently engages with constituents on matters ranging from healthcare to local workforce development.

On April 11, 2025, Scholten highlighted her commitment to Parkinson’s Disease awareness. “Did you know: Parkinson’s Disease is so variable, that almost no two individuals’ symptoms and progression are the same,” she tweeted, referring to the unique nature of the disease. She emphasized her dedication to securing essential funding for research and treatment, especially on World Parkinson’s Day.

Later that day, Scholten later informed her West Michigan constituents about upcoming enhancements to her newsletter. “West Michigan, I’m always working with my team to find ways to serve you better,” she wrote, encouraging followers to subscribe and stay informed about regional updates and initiatives.

On April 12, 2025, Scholten expressed her support for trade-based careers following a meeting with members of Michigan’s Pipe Trades Association and Building Trades Council. “I’m a huge advocate for trade-based careers,” she announced, underscoring her efforts in Congress to back skilled workers and reinforce the workforce.

Scholten, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1982, holds a BA from Gordon College and a JD from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She continues to reside in Grand Rapids, where she is involved in local and national legislative efforts.
