The Ferris State University women’s golf team finished in third place at the NC4K Classic hosted by Ohio Dominican on April 6-7 in Grove City, Ohio.
The result highlights the team’s performance among a field of 14 schools, with Ferris State posting a combined score of 646 over two rounds at Pinnacle Golf Club. The Bulldogs recorded a score of 326 in the first round and improved to 320 in the second round. Ashland University won the event with a total of 619, while Tiffin placed second at 634.
Senior Kamryn Shannon led Ferris State by tying for third overall individually, finishing with a two-round total of 155 after shooting an opening-round 80 and following up with a score of 75. Teammates Ashley Thomasma and Kylie Walker both tied for seventeenth place with totals of 163. Thomasma shot rounds of 81 and 82, while Walker posted scores of 84 and then improved to a second-round score of 79.
Other contributors included Lizzie Anderson, who tied for thirtieth place at 167 (rounds of 81 and then an eighty-six), Taylor Musselman tying for forty-fourth with a total score of one seventy-two (scores: eighty-eight and eighty-four), and Isabel Kelly tying for fifty-first after carding rounds of eighty-nine and eighty-six for a total score of one seventy-five.
Ferris State Bulldogs Women’s Golf competes in NCAA Division II as part of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, according to the official website.
