The Ferris State University men’s and women’s tennis teams both secured wins against Roosevelt on April 10 at the Racquet and Fitness Center. The women won their match 6-1, while the men achieved a 7-0 victory to remain undefeated in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.
These results are significant as they help maintain strong league records for both squads. The women’s team improved to a season record of 10-6 overall and holds a conference mark of 4-1. The men’s team stands at 13-3 overall with a perfect conference record of 4-0.
During the matches, the women’s team swept all doubles contests for an early lead, then won five out of six singles positions, only dropping one close three-set match at fifth singles. The men’s team also dominated by winning all doubles flights and every singles contest in straight sets. Senior Day was celebrated by the men’s squad during this event.
Ferris State Bulldogs Women’s Tennis competes in NCAA Division II within the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, facing regional and national opponents according to the official website.
