Ferris State tennis teams split matches against Grand Valley State University

The Ferris State University men’s and women’s tennis teams played a pair of matches against Grand Valley State University on March 28, resulting in a split outcome in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) action.

In Saturday’s contests, the Bulldog men remained undefeated in league play after defeating GVSU 5-2. The Lakers initially secured the doubles point with wins at one and three singles. However, Ferris State responded by winning four out of six singles matches, including victories at the top three spots and a three-set win at five singles. Meanwhile, the women’s team suffered its first conference loss of the season with a 7-0 defeat. The Bulldogs’ pairing of Yara Madi and Ainsley Zulueta won their doubles match at third position, but GVSU swept all six singles matches.

Ferris State Bulldogs Women’s Tennis employs dedicated facilities for training and matches according to the official website. Looking ahead, Ferris State will return home for a four-match league homestand beginning Friday, April 3.
