The Ferris State University men’s tennis team had a successful outing on Friday, September 20, at the Davenport Invitational near Grand Rapids. The Bulldogs advanced to the finals in five of the eight singles flights and three of the four doubles matches during the day-long event.

This competition served as preparation for next week’s Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional Championships, which will also be hosted by Davenport.

“It was another great day on the courts for Bulldog Tennis,” said FSU head coach Mark Doren. “With only four of our 10 players returning this year, I was extremely impressed with the high level of tennis played today by everybody.”

The invitational featured student-athletes from Ferris State University, Davenport, Grand Valley State, and Northwood.

The ITA Midwest Regional Championships are scheduled to start on Saturday, September 28, and run through Tuesday, September 30.
