City and SpartanNash Continue Bottle Water Distribution

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The City of Grand Rapids announced today that they will continue hosting water bottle distribution for those affected by the ongoing Boil Water Advisory. According to a statement by the City of Grand Rapids, "The City of Grand Rapids will continue hosting water bottle distribution for those impacted by the ongoing Boil Water Advisory." The distribution will take place on March 19, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 1635 Leonard St. NE.

Drivers in the affected area are advised to follow specific instructions provided by the city. "Drivers are asked to access the distribution point at 1635 Leonard St. NE," said the City of Grand Rapids.

The Boil Water Advisory was issued on March 17, following a water main break near Leonard St. NE and Union Ave. NE. The City of Grand Rapids confirmed that repairs have been completed and water pressure has been restored. "Crews have completed repairs and water pressure has been restored," stated the City of Grand Rapids.

Residents in the affected area are reminded to take precautions during this time. "DO NOT drink tap water without boiling it first," emphasized the City of Grand Rapids. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice.
